Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Nairobi
Jambo – Arrive Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Meet your host at the airport for your transfer to your hotel. Relax today to get your body on the new time zone.
Day 2: Nairobi National Park
This morning get ready for your first safari adventure at Nairobi National Park. Practically in town, this park is by the central business district of Nairobi. Wide open plains and the backdrop of the city make this first safari special. The park hosts a wide variety of lions, leopards, and cheetahs. We will enjoy a picnic in the park. This afternoon we will visit Karen Blixen Museum and home. This wealthy Danish woman was the inspiration for the movie “Out of Africa”. This was her home at the foot of Ngong Hills. Tonight, enjoy a taste of Kenya at a local restaurant. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park
After breakfast we will hit the road to Aberdare National Park. This picturesque park is known for its steep forested ravines and provides habitat for elephants, black rhinos, monkeys, and other animals. There are over 250 bird species in the park. This scenic region is much cooler than savannahs and offers a completely different perspective of this country. This close contact with the animals is truly magical. (B, L, D)
Day 4 – Aberdare National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, we will ride through the countryside of Africa to reach our destination, Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is home to the infamous Black Rhino. It has various animals including Cape Buffalo, endangered Rothschild giraffes, the elusive leopard, and over 300 species of birds. You will be amazed by the Pink Flamingos guarding the lake’s edge. Day 5 – Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara
After breakfast, we will ride through the countryside of Africa to reach our destination, Masai Mara. Masai Mara is a National Reserve. It is a preserved savannah wilderness along the Tanzania border. Its scenic expanse of gently rolling African savannah plains is a unique wildlife conservation haven. Large numbers of cheetahs, lions, elephants, rhino, African buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, and zebra are found in this park. Do not be surprised to find herds of elephants with their newborns.

Day 6 - Masai Mara National Reserve
Today we will enjoy a full day in Masai Mara National Reserve. You may start the day with an optional balloon ride which creates an additional vantage point from the air. Amazing. Then after a prepared breakfast in the savannah we are off to see the animals. The abundance of mammals will surprise and delight. From the elusive leopard to the adorable cheetahs, you will be amazed at the vast savannah grasslands home to a breathtaking array of life. Arrive back at camp for lunch and relaxing. Later in the day we will board our safari vehicles in search of warthogs, impalas, giraffes, and elephants. I guarantee you will be amazed. (B, L, D)
Day 7 – Masai Mara to Nairobi and Home
After breakfast, it is time to say good-bye to our safari and head back to Nairobi. (6 hours) in time to take your flights back to the USA. You will return home with the captured special moments of Kenya. The animals, the wild diverse environments, and the special love of the people. (B, L)
Please Note - * This tour requires average physical activity. Participants should be in good health, able to climb stairs and walk reasonable distances, possibly over uneven ground or unpaved trails. Participants should also be able to get in and out of a safari vehicle with no problems.
