Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVE EAST GLACIER

Arrive East Glacier by Amtrak and meet your through Western Leisure Guide; transfer to Many Glacier and your hotel, check in for a 4 night stay; evening free to relax on own. Overnight Many Glacier Hotel.

Day 2: MANY GLACIER - ST. MARY

Today enjoy sightseeing of Glacier National Park and the Many Glacier area; depart for a scenic boat tour on Swiftcurrent Lake; take a short 400 yard walk to Lake Josephine and a cruise across this second lake on the Morning Eagle; in the afternoon, travel to St. Mary Lake for a group hike along the Sun Point Trail; in the late afternoon, return to Many Glacier for dinner at the hotel; evening free.

DAY 3: CARDSTON - WATERTON

Travel north crossing the border into Canada; arrive in Cardston and the Remington Carriage Museum - the "Best Indoor Attraction in Canada", for touring followed by a traditional English Tea and Lunch; then board your modern wagon for the ride to Waterton National Park for sightseeing; then shop in the village of Waterton before boarding the Historic M.V. International for a scenic boat cruise of Lake Waterton with a stop at the Goat Haunt Visitor Center; this evening enjoy dinner at the Prince of Wales Hotel; return to the USA and your hotel. Overnight Many Glacier hotel.

DAY 4: LEWIS & CLARK

Today travel east to experience a part of the Lewis & Clark Expedition; our first stop is Giant Springs Heritage State Park; a highlight of our journey is the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center in Great Falls; this afternoon visit the Charles M. Russell Museum; tonight join the group for a special Buffalo Dinner and dine as the expedition members did long ago; return to Many Glacier. Overnight Many Glacier hotel.

DAY 5: GLACIER

This morning board the historic Red Jammers for sightseeing of Glacier National Park via the world famous "Going to the Sun Highway,"; this afternoon, arrive beautiful Lake McDonald located on the west side of Glacier National Park; check into the Motor Inn, then the rest of the afternoon is free to explore on own; join the group for dinner at historic Lake McDonald Lodge. Overnight Lake McDonald Lodge.

DAY 6: GLACIER - RAFTING

The morning get ready for a wonderful experience as you enjoy a scenic float trip on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River; after a picnic lunch, return to Glacier National Park and Lake McDonald for an afternoon hike on the Avalanche Lake Trail; return to hotel with dinner included. Overnight Lake McDonald Lodge.

DAY 7: WHITEFISH - FLATHEAD LAKE

This morning, visit Big Mountain Ski Resort and take a scenic ride on a gondola to the 7,000 ft. summit; then drive south to Flathead Lake for sightseeing; arrive in the artists town of Big Fork with free time to browse; enjoy lunch at one of the boutique restaurants; in the afternoon, return Lake McDonald and board the DeSmet, a historic wooden boat for a relaxing Cocktail Cruise on Lake McDonald; then join the group for a farewell dinner. Overnight Lake McDonald Lodge.

DAY 8: HOME

Morning transfers to the airport have been arranged.
